Dr. Richard E. Toney, PhD, LPC - S is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor (LPC –S) who has been in the mental health field for over 14 years. He has worked with a variety of clients from ages 6 years old to 105 years old. He is currently in private practice and is the owner and operator of R T Counseling Services, which is a mobile counseling practice. This is the only practice of its kind in his area. Dr. Toney has contracts with Residential Treatment Centers, Group Homes, Probation Offices, and Geriatric Nursing Home facilities, which seek counseling services for a variety of individuals. He also has a clientele base of individuals whom he sees in their homes. More specifically, Dr. Toney has worked and continues to work with individuals who suffer from the following disorders: Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and the related disorders, Developmental and Intellectually Disabled – Dual diagnosed consumers, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Behavior Modification, Anger Control, and Geriatric and Criminal Competency, and a host of other mental health conditions. Dr. Toney has been featured on MJWJ Talk Radio speaking about procrastination, mental health, relationships, and parenting. Most recently, Dr. Toney was mentioned in an article in the Huffington Post discussing the noticeability of depression in the past few years. Dr. Toney is also a Nurturing Parenting Facilitator where he works with parents in learning techniques to care for their children from a therapeutic perspective. Dr. Toney is also the author of a book entitled, “Later Is A Liar” which is available on Amazon.com.
